Dormitory

Kearney Agricultural Research and Extension Center has two furnished dorms to meet the housing needs of University employees conducting research or teaching activities at the center. Non-UC visiting scientists may be accommodated on a case-by-case basis.

Each of the two dormitories has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen, a living/dining area, and a laundry room.

Each bedroom has two twin size beds. The dorms have phones, wireless internet, satellite television, appliances, kitchen utensils, dishes, cleaning supplies, a common barbeque area, and general cleaning services. Each occupant needs to bring his or her own pillow, sheets, blankets, sleeping bag, towels, toiletry items, food and laundry supplies. Each occupant is also responsible for daily housekeeping. Sponsoring faculty may file dorm requests with the KARE specialized facility coordinator, Laura Van der Staay, ljvanderstaay@ucanr.edu. Approval of requests is dependent upon demand.

The daily rate is $18.00.

Monthly payment is by check, traveler's check, or money order made out to "UC Regents" or recharge. There are no pre-payment requirements.
